JD(U) Youth Leader Dies in Khagaria Road Accident, Four Others Injured
In a tragic incident, the district president of the youth wing of the Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)) died, while four others sustained injuries in a road accident in Khagaria district early Friday morning. The accident occurred as the group was returning by car after attending a wedding ceremony on Thursday.
Details of the Accident
The deceased has been identified as Raju Mandal (29). He had traveled to Khagaria to attend the wedding of his friend and fellow JD(U) functionary, Sumit. While returning around 4 a.m., a speeding truck rammed into their car near the Satishnagar petrol pump in the Pasraha police station area of Khagaria district.
The impact of the collision was so severe that the car was badly damaged. Raju was traveling with Pintu Mehta and three others, all of whom were injured in the accident.
Response and Condition of the Injured
Local police immediately reached the spot and rushed the injured to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Two of the injured were reported to be in critical condition and were subsequently referred to a higher medical center for better treatment.
Raju Mandal had married two-and-a-half years ago and is survived by his wife and a young daughter, adding to the sorrow of the incident.
