Preparing for the Scheduled Maintenance
While such scheduled power cuts are essential for system upkeep, they can cause inconvenience. Residents and businesses in the affected zones of Ambattur are advised to plan accordingly. It is recommended to charge essential devices like mobile phones, power banks, and laptops in advance. Those who rely on electrical medical equipment should ensure backup power arrangements are in place.
The TNPDCL often undertakes these maintenance exercises during the winter months to minimise discomfort and to strengthen the grid ahead of the peak summer demand. Consumers are urged to cooperate and to treat any unattended electrical wires as live for safety purposes during the restoration period.
