Pune Police Conducts Verification Visit at NCP Campaign Firm Office
Police officials in Pune visited the office of a private election campaign management firm on Tuesday. This firm provides services to the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). The visit occurred during the final day of campaigning for municipal corporation polls in the state.
Firm Founder Describes Police Interaction
Naresh Arora, founder of the firm, spoke with reporters about the incident. He explained that police personnel arrived at their office seeking specific information.
"The police asked about the type of work conducted in our office," Arora stated. "They particularly wanted to know what work related to NCP we handle."
Arora clarified that neither he nor his senior colleagues were present during the visit. Junior staff members handled the interaction with law enforcement officers.
"Our junior staff shared the information requested by the police," Arora confirmed. "The details about any complaint were not disclosed to our employees at that time."
Follow-Up Attempt Proves Unsuccessful
The police provided a contact number to the staff members before leaving. When employees attempted to call that number later, nobody answered their calls.
When questioned about potential political motivations behind the police visit, Arora maintained a professional stance. "Our work involves election campaigning," he explained. "We operate indirectly in politics rather than participating directly. Therefore, I prefer not to make any political comments on this matter."
Police Commissioner Provides Official Statement
Amitesh Kumar, Commissioner of Police for Pune, addressed the situation publicly. He revealed that authorities received information about suspicious activities within Pune commissionerate jurisdiction.
"We immediately dispatched a verification team," Kumar stated. "This team consisted of one officer and two policemen who visited the location promptly."
The police commissioner reported their findings clearly. "Our team observed nothing adverse at the location," Kumar confirmed. "No irregularities were noticed with the people working there either. After completing verification, the team departed from the premises."
NCP Leader Confirms Development Through Social Media
Ajit Pawar, NCP chief, acknowledged the incident via Twitter. He identified the visited organization as 'DesignBoxed' and confirmed Naresh Arora's involvement.
"Crime Branch officers visited the Pune office to gather information," Pawar tweeted. "The organization works for NCP, and during the process, all necessary information was provided with full cooperation."
Pawar emphasized that authorities found no objectionable matter or irregularities during their visit. He outlined NCP's position regarding legal compliance and cooperation with statutory processes.
The NCP leader made several important points in his social media statement:
- NCP respects legal frameworks and believes in cooperating with all statutory processes
- Complete and necessary cooperation was extended to relevant agencies in this case
- The party presents its stand with restraint, responsibility, and clarity
- Everyone should avoid spreading confusion, rumors, or unnecessary narratives
- Conclusions should be drawn solely based on factual information
Pawar's statement concluded with a call for responsible discussion about the incident. He stressed the importance of factual accuracy over speculation regarding police visits to campaign offices.
