RLD Focuses on Urban Strengthening in UP, Assigns Key Leaders to Regions
RLD Boosts Urban Structure in Uttar Pradesh

In a significant move to bolster its presence in key urban centers, the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) under the leadership of Jayant Chaudhary has initiated a major organizational revamp. The party's focus is now squarely on strengthening its urban structure and ensuring the effective implementation of its grassroots strategy across Uttar Pradesh.

Key Decisions from the High-Level Meeting

The strategic decisions were finalized during a crucial meeting held on Friday. The meeting was chaired by the party's national general secretary for organization, Tilok Tyagi. The central agenda was to identify dedicated party workers and entrust them with specific responsibilities to fortify the RLD's organizational framework in urban areas.

A major outcome was the allocation of responsibilities for urban organizational strengthening across various regions of Uttar Pradesh. The party has appointed senior leaders as in-charges for specific divisions to oversee this critical work.

Regional Responsibilities Assigned to Senior Leaders

The party has entrusted its senior leaders with the task of revitalizing its urban units. Party national secretary Anupam Mishra has been given the charge of the Awadh and Central regions. The crucial Moradabad–Saharanpur division will be overseen by former MLA Noor Saleem Rana.

Other prominent leaders have also been assigned key regions:

  • Indrajeet Singh Titu, Javed Salim, and Mahesh Jatav have been collectively tasked with the Meerut division.
  • The Eastern Uttar Pradesh region has been assigned to a senior leader.
  • The Agra division has also been placed under the charge of a dedicated party official.

Strict Timeline for Review and Reporting

The party leadership has set a clear and strict deadline for the newly appointed in-charges. All regional leaders have been directed to conduct comprehensive reviews at the district level in their respective areas. They must then compile and submit their detailed assessment reports to the party's central office.

The deadline for submitting these reports is within 15 days from the meeting. This tight timeline underscores the urgency and importance the RLD leadership is placing on this organizational overhaul.

This move signals the RLD's intent to consolidate its base and expand its influence in urban constituencies ahead of future electoral challenges. By empowering specific leaders with clear mandates and demanding accountability through timely reports, the party aims to create a more robust and responsive urban political machinery in India's most populous state.
