Responding directly to a query about comments attributed to former Delhi minister Atishi concerning the Sikh Gurus, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini expressed profound dismay. He emphasized that the Gurus made the ultimate sacrifice, not only of their own lives but of entire generations, for the core principles of religion, humanity, and the nation.
Saini stated that such a mindset towards the revered Gurus was deeply unfortunate. He further highlighted the enduring legacy of the Gurus' teachings, noting that they continue to serve as a source of inspiration, strength, and direction for society and future generations even today.
Criticism of Kejriwal's Delhi Tenure: Liquor Over Education
Shifting focus to governance, Saini responded to another question by criticizing the tenure of Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal as the Chief Minister of Delhi. Saini accused the Kejriwal government of misplacing its priorities by focusing on the proliferation of liquor vends instead of strengthening the foundational education system in the capital.
To underscore his point, the Haryana CM made a notable observation. He pointed out that under Kejriwal's rule, separate liquor shops were opened specifically for women, a practice he claimed was unique to Delhi across the entire country. This, according to Saini, symbolized the administration's skewed focus.
