Fresh trouble appears to be brewing within Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena (UBT) as six of the party's nine Lok Sabha MPs skipped a crucial parliamentary board meeting in Delhi. The absentees have fuelled speculation that a section of MPs may be in touch with the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena.
Whip Issued and Attendance Tracked
The party had issued a whip and prepared attendance sheets to track compliance. Following the meeting, discussions reportedly began on possible action against the absent lawmakers.
Sanjay Raut's Sharp Attack
Sanjay Raut launched a sharp attack on the missing MPs, calling them "traitors and dishonest", while reiterating allegations that legislators were being offered huge sums to switch sides.
The development has put the Uddhav camp on edge as the defection buzz intensifies. The party leadership is expected to take a decision on disciplinary action soon.
