JJD Leader Tej Pratap Yadav Faces Serious Kidnap-Murder Allegations from Former Party Spokesperson
In a dramatic escalation of political infighting, Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD) leader Tej Pratap Yadav and his supporters have been formally accused of conspiring to kidnap and murder former party spokesperson Santosh Renu Yadav. The explosive allegations have been detailed in a written complaint submitted by Santosh to the Srikrishnapuri police station in Patna, Bihar, sparking a police investigation into the serious charges.
Detailed Account of Alleged Kidnapping Incident
According to the complaint filed by Santosh Renu Yadav, the incident unfolded on the evening of February 4. Santosh claims he was lured to the office of former JJD state president Jai Singh Rathore on Boring Road under false pretenses. He alleges that party leader Avinash Kumar Sonu called him under the guise of delivering his sister's wedding invitation card.
"After this, they intimidated me and forcibly took me to residence 42-A located on Harding Road," Santosh stated in his application. "The main gate of the residence was then locked, and Motilal Rai, Shambhu Yadav, Baijnath Yadav, along with several unknown individuals present at the location, began planning to do something untoward with me."
Alleged Murder Plot and Dramatic Rescue
Santosh has made the grave allegation that a conspiracy was actively being hatched to murder him while he was held captive. According to his account, his life was only saved when Ashutosh Kumar, a prominent leader of the Bhumihaar Brahmin Ekta Manch, arrived at the scene and intervened.
"I was held captive on February 4 evening, and a conspiracy was being planned to murder me," Santosh claimed in his complaint. "My life was saved only after Ashutosh Kumar reached the spot and intervened in the situation."
Police Investigation Underway
Sri Krishnapuri Station House Officer Jitendra Rana confirmed that authorities have received the written application from the complainant and have registered the complaint officially. "The investigation is currently underway," SHO Rana stated. "We have also contacted those individuals at whose office the complainant was allegedly assaulted to gather further information and evidence."
Background of Escalating Political Feud
Santosh Renu Yadav previously served as the official spokesperson for the JJD, which is led by Tej Pratap Yadav. The relationship between the two politicians deteriorated significantly after Santosh quit the party just a few days ago, triggering an increasingly bitter dispute that has been simmering for several months.
This kidnapping and murder plot allegation represents the latest development in their ongoing conflict. Earlier, a complaint had been filed at the police station against Santosh from Tej Pratap Yadav's side. In response, Santosh lodged his own complaint against Tej Pratap Yadav at the Beur police station, creating a legal back-and-forth between the former political allies.
Political Implications and Ongoing Developments
The serious nature of these allegations has significant implications for Bihar's political landscape, particularly for the Janshakti Janata Dal and its leadership. As police continue their investigation into the alleged kidnapping and murder conspiracy, political observers are closely monitoring how this high-stakes dispute between former colleagues will unfold.
The case highlights the intense rivalries that can emerge within political parties, especially when prominent members depart and tensions escalate into potentially criminal allegations. With both sides having filed complaints against each other, the legal and political battle between Tej Pratap Yadav and Santosh Renu Yadav appears poised to continue as authorities work to determine the facts surrounding the February 4 incident.
