Shiv Sena (UBT) Stages Protest in Yavatmal

Yavatmal witnessed a heated protest on Thursday as Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) members took to the streets to demonstrate against party MP Sanjay Deshmukh. The protesters burnt an effigy of Deshmukh, who is reportedly among six MPs planning to join the faction led by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Large Gathering at Don Panja Chowk

A significant number of UBT activists gathered at the Don Panja Chowk to voice their anger. The crowd included members of the party's women's wing, who actively participated in the demonstration. The effigy was beaten and set ablaze as slogans against Deshmukh filled the air.

Leadership Presence

MLA Sanjay Derkar led the protest, accompanied by senior functionaries of the Shiv Sena (UBT), women's wing representatives, and a large contingent of party supporters. The leadership's presence underscored the seriousness of the issue.

Allegations of Betrayal

Protesters accused Deshmukh of betraying the trust placed in him by voters and the party during the Lok Sabha elections. They declared that the people of Yavatmal would never forgive those who betray their mandate. A protester warned, "This is only the beginning. We will not allow traitors to move freely in the district."

Political Atmosphere Heats Up

The high-voltage agitation has significantly heated the political atmosphere in Yavatmal. Observers predict that the confrontation could intensify further in the coming days, with both sides likely to escalate their actions.
