Yamunanagar MLA Presents Detailed Budget Proposals to Haryana Chief Minister

In a significant move ahead of the state's upcoming budget, Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora on Tuesday submitted an extensive set of recommendations to Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. The proposals aim to foster balanced and inclusive development across the state, with a strong emphasis on industrial revival, environmental sustainability, agricultural advancement, urban infrastructure enhancement, rural development, and social welfare initiatives.

MLA Arora Meets CM Saini to Discuss Budget Inputs

Sharing details of the meeting, MLA Arora revealed that Chief Minister Saini had invited legislators from Haryana to his official residence in Chandigarh to actively seek their inputs for the forthcoming budget. As part of this collaborative exercise, Arora met with the CM and presented several crucial proposals designed to address pressing issues and promote holistic growth throughout the state.

Focus on Industrial Revival and Environmental Sustainability

Highlighting the severe challenges faced by the board and plywood industry, MLA Arora pointed out that the sector is currently struggling for its very survival. He strongly urged the government to frame and effectively implement industry-friendly policies to strengthen this vital sector. Such measures, he argued, would not only support entrepreneurs but also provide greater benefits to farmers associated with the supply chain, thereby boosting the local economy.

To combat rising pollution levels and promote green mobility, the MLA recommended tax-free registration of electric vehicles in Haryana. He emphasized that this strategic move would significantly accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles, contributing substantially to environmental protection and aligning with global sustainability goals.

Agricultural Growth and Urban Infrastructure Improvements

Emphasizing the need for agricultural growth, Arora proposed the creation of special schemes with dedicated budgetary provisions to encourage natural and organic farming. According to him, farmers who adopt eco-friendly agricultural practices should be provided with financial incentives to motivate wider participation and ensure a sustainable agricultural ecosystem.

The MLA also called for special budget allocations to improve urban infrastructure, with a particular focus on preventing waterlogging, ensuring smooth sewerage systems, and eliminating rubbish dumps in cities. He stressed the urgent need to address the shortage of sanitation workers to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in urban areas, which is essential for public health and quality of life.

Rural Development and Social Welfare Initiatives

For rural development, MLA Arora suggested formulating comprehensive maintenance plans for village gymnasiums to ensure that residents can easily access and utilize these facilities for health and fitness. He also underlined the importance of intensified anti-drug awareness campaigns among youth and sought dedicated budgetary support for policies and schemes to curb the growing menace of substance abuse, which poses a significant threat to societal well-being.

Drawing attention to the deteriorating condition of village ponds, Arora noted that many ponds, once considered a boon for rural life, have now become polluted due to neglect. He urged the government to introduce a special scheme in the upcoming budget for the maintenance and beautification of village ponds, which would not only enhance environmental quality but also support local ecosystems and community activities.
