The Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) authorities have confirmed that drinking water supplied within the city limits undergoes treatment at purification plants before being distributed to households.

In an official statement, the MCC highlighted that water quality is consistently monitored across all wards. Treated water is supplied only after passing necessary quality checks. Purified drinking water continues to reach all wards under the corporation’s jurisdiction.

Pipeline Leak Repaired at Bhattagudde

The city corporation recently repaired a leak in a water supply pipeline at Bhattagudde following complaints from residents regarding contaminated drinking water in parts of the area. Complaints were received from Ward No. 31 about polluted water reaching some households. In response, MCC officials conducted an inspection and identified a leak in the water supply pipeline. The defect was rectified immediately, as per the release.
