Patliputra University (PPU) has finalized preparations to conduct undergraduate (UG) semester IV examinations for the 2024–28 session, commencing on Monday, June 10. Approximately 88,000 students will appear at 43 examination centers spread across colleges in Patna and Nalanda districts.
Examination Schedule and Shifts
According to PPU Examination Controller Manoj Kumar, the exams will be held in two shifts daily: from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The examination schedule will continue until June 25. Additionally, students from the 2023–27 session who have either failed or been promoted will sit for their exams on June 30, ensuring academic continuity for all cohorts.
Measures to Ensure Fairness and Monitoring
To maintain the integrity of the examination process, the university has deployed ten flying squads tasked with monitoring centers and preventing any irregularities. Kumar stated that he would personally oversee the entire examination process to ensure strict adherence to protocols.
Heatwave Precautions and Facilities
In response to the ongoing heatwave conditions, PPU has issued directives to center superintendents and principals to ensure the availability of adequate drinking water, functioning fans, and uninterrupted power supply at all examination centers. First-aid facilities will also be provided at every center to address any health emergencies.
Upcoming Results Announcement
Meanwhile, PPU has announced that the results for the UG semester II examinations will be declared on July 5. With this timeline, Kumar confirmed that all undergraduate semester exams will be completed within the stipulated academic schedule, maintaining the university's commitment to timely academic progression.
