Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has proposed the establishment of an All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) in the state, a move aimed at strengthening traditional medicine infrastructure. The proposal was presented during a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on 25 June 2026.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Sai emphasized the rich biodiversity and traditional knowledge of Ayurveda in Chhattisgarh, which he said makes the state an ideal location for an AIIA.
