Mumbai: Reliance Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Reliance Industries, has announced plans to modernise SevenHills Hospital in Andheri into a 1,500-bed facility, making it one of Mumbai’s largest hospitals. The initiative aims to significantly enhance healthcare infrastructure in the city.
Key Focus Areas of the New Facility
The upgraded hospital will prioritise clinical research, cancer care, emergency and trauma services, organ transplantation, and the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases. This comprehensive approach is designed to address critical healthcare needs in the region.
Partnership with BMC and Commitment to the Underprivileged
Reliance Foundation chairperson Nita Ambani stated that the hospital, being developed in partnership with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), will reserve more than 450 beds for patients from economically weaker sections. This ensures that affordable healthcare is accessible to those in need.
