Tirupati: Police have booked a middle-aged man working at a local Grama Sachivalayam under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at Nayudupeta in Tirupati district.
Accused Identified
According to Nayudupeta police, the accused, identified as Vijaya Ramaiah, worked at the Grama Sachivalayam in the Bharat Nagar locality of Nayudupeta. Police said he entered into an extramarital relationship with a woman who lived alone locally with her minor daughter.
Details of the Crime
During the course of time, the accused captured photos and videos of the minor girl when she was in the bathroom. He then trapped the minor girl and sexually abused her by blackmailing her, police said.
Victim's Revelation
The victim, who could not bear the repeated sexual abuse, disclosed her trauma to her mother. Her mother formally lodged a complaint at the local police station.
Legal Action
Nayudupeta CI Venkateswarulu told reporters that the victim was subjected to a medical examination and the accused was booked under the provisions of the POCSO Act.
