Teenager Lured via Instagram, Kidnapped in Kharar

Mohali police rescued a 17-year-old boy within hours of his abduction near Kharar's grain market on Wednesday. The victim, Rahulpreet Singh, a vegetable vendor from Gharuan, was allegedly lured by a girl he had been chatting with on Instagram. He was taken away by a group of men who beat him and forced him into a car.

How the Abduction Unfolded

According to a statement by the victim's father, Jaswinder Singh, Rahulpreet left home around 11 am on Wednesday with his friend Manjot Singh to buy medicines from Kharar Sub-Divisional Hospital. When he did not return by evening and his phone was switched off, the family grew worried.

Later, Manjot Singh called the family and informed them that Rahulpreet had been invited to meet a girl at Noor Dhaba on Chunni Road. When the two arrived, they were surrounded by youths in a white car and on bikes. The group allegedly beat both boys and forcibly took Rahulpreet into the car. Manjot sustained injuries and was hospitalized.

Family Cites Ongoing Feud
