A 17-year-old boy was discovered dead under mysterious circumstances in the Madeyganj area of Lucknow. His body was found near Daliganj crossing, approximately 500 meters from his home. The incident has led to allegations of murder by the family, who have accused a neighbor of involvement.
Details of the Incident
The deceased has been identified as Ayush Singh, son of the late Ajay Singh. After the death of his parents, Ayush resided with his maternal uncle, Arun, near Shia College in Madeyganj. According to Arun, Ayush left home around 10 am on Friday to work at a shop. He typically returned home for lunch in the afternoon, but on that day, he did not come back.
When Ayush failed to return by night, the family began searching for him. Around 11:45 pm, police informed them that a youth had been found unconscious near the Indian Oil tank behind Daliganj crossing. He was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
Discovery and Identification
The body was first spotted by a petrol pump supervisor, who alerted the police. Identification was later confirmed with the help of a local mechanic who knew the boy. Family members have alleged foul play, claiming that Ayush had a dispute with a neighbor a day earlier, during which he was allegedly threatened with death. They pointed to multiple injury marks on his face and body and alleged that the accused and his family have absconded.
Police Investigation
ACP Mahanagar, Ankit Kumar, said that police have sent the body for postmortem examination and stated that further action will depend on the report. The investigation is ongoing as authorities await forensic results to determine the cause of death.
