Delhi Police Arrests 3 Brothers from Bihar in 4-Month-Old Bawana Murder Case
3 Bihar brothers arrested for Delhi murder after 4-month manhunt

In a significant breakthrough, the Delhi Police has apprehended three brothers from Bihar, ending a nearly four-month-long interstate manhunt for a brutal murder that took place in the national capital's northern outskirts.

The Fatal Attack and Immediate Aftermath

The incident dates back to September 20, 2025, in JJ Colony, Bawana. According to the police, a pre-planned assault was carried out by the accused brothers—Manish, Rajesh, and Raja—along with their associates. The target was Akbar and his companions, with whom the brothers had a prior dispute.

During the violent attack, Badshah, a close friend of the complainant Akbar, was stabbed multiple times. He collapsed on the spot and succumbed to his injuries. The assailants fled immediately after the crime, leaving the police to launch an extensive search operation.

The Multi-State Manhunt and Arrest

A case was registered at the Narela Industrial Area police station, and non-bailable warrants were issued against the accused. Investigators identified Manish, a known criminal figure with a history at the Bawana police station, as the prime suspect.

"Technical surveillance and local intelligence indicated the accused were frequently changing hideouts and had retreated to Bihar," said DCP (Crime) Pankaj Kumar. Acting on specific information, a police team tracked down and arrested the trio from Begusarai district in Bihar on January 8.

Criminal Past and Motive Revealed

During interrogation, the three brothers allegedly confessed to their involvement in the killing. Police stated the motive was revenge for an earlier quarrel in which Rajesh had been injured.

The police investigation unveiled the extensive criminal backgrounds of the accused. Manish (25) is reportedly involved in over 35 criminal cases, including charges of theft, violations under the Arms Act, and attempt to murder. His brothers, Rajesh (26) and Raja (24), also have multiple criminal cases registered against them in Delhi.

The arrests bring a sense of closure to a case that had remained open for nearly four months, highlighting the challenges and eventual success of coordinated police work across state lines.
