Jaipur Septic Tank Wall Collapse Kills Three, Injures Several

Three labourers were killed and nearly a dozen others injured when a septic tank wall collapsed in Jaipur on Monday, June 29, 2026. The incident occurred at a construction site in the Jhotwara area of the city.

According to officials, the wall of an under-construction septic tank gave way suddenly, trapping several workers under the debris. Rescue teams, including personnel from the Jaipur Development Authority and local police, rushed to the spot and launched a search operation.

Three bodies were recovered from the rubble, while 11 injured workers were taken to a nearby hospital. The condition of two of the injured is stated to be critical.

CM Bhajanlal Sharma Expresses Grief, Orders Relief

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma expressed profound grief over the tragic incident. He directed the district administration to provide immediate medical assistance to the injured and ensure proper compensation to the families of the deceased.

“The loss of lives in this accident is extremely saddening. I pray for the peace of the departed souls and strength to their families. The injured are being given the best possible treatment,” the CM said in a statement.

He also ordered a thorough investigation into the incident to ascertain the cause of the collapse and fix responsibility.

Rescue Operations and Investigation Underway

Fire brigade and disaster response teams were deployed to the site to clear the debris and check for any more trapped workers. Senior officials from the Jaipur administration visited the hospital to inquire about the condition of the injured.

Preliminary reports suggest that the wall may have collapsed due to weak structural support or excessive pressure from accumulated waste water. An official inquiry has been ordered, and action will be taken against those found negligent.

Labour unions have demanded strict enforcement of safety norms at construction sites and adequate compensation for the victims.
