Roorkee: A 35-year-old man, accused in a firing incident, was injured in a police encounter near the Uttar Pradesh-Uttarakhand border in Haridwar’s Buggawala area in the early hours of Friday. His accomplice managed to escape, said police.
Lukman of Gokulwala village was arrested with an illegal .315-bore pistol. He was allegedly involved in a firing incident at Amantgarh factory on June 9. A mobile phone linked to the case was also recovered from him.
