A manager at a private bank in Muzaffarnagar was arrested on Wednesday on charges of abducting and murdering a six-year-old boy. The accused, identified as Arpit Parashar, 28, allegedly kidnapped the child, Angadveer, from outside his residence in Meerut's Bahsuma area on Tuesday.

According to Meerut police, CCTV footage revealed a man taking the boy in a car, which led investigators to Parashar. Additional Superintendent of Police Abhijeet Kumar stated that the accused initially attempted to mislead authorities by claiming he had disposed of the body in a canal. However, he later confessed to killing the child by slitting his throat with a sharp weapon. The boy's body was recovered from a field approximately 10 kilometers away.

Angadveer, who studied at a boarding school in Patiala, was visiting his mother, Gurpreet Kaur, 30, in Bahsuma. His father works as a driver in Saudi Arabia. Police said preliminary investigations revealed that Parashar and Gurpreet Kaur had allegedly been in a relationship for the past three years.
