Daycare Employees Accused of Infant Abuse
A preliminary inquiry has identified five employees of a daycare centre attached to a Bengaluru IT firm as suspects in an alleged abuse case. The accused—Manjula, Vijayalakshmi, Sindhu, Bhavani and Bindu—are accused of forcing infants to sit in a toilet, according to sources familiar with the investigation.

The daycare facility, located within the IT company's premises, is used by employees to leave their children during working hours. Parents reported unusual behaviour from their children, prompting an internal review that led to the allegations. The infants, some as young as a few months old, were allegedly subjected to unsanitary and abusive conditions.
Police Investigation Underway
Bengaluru police have registered a case and are conducting a detailed investigation. Authorities are examining CCTV footage and interviewing parents and staff. The accused employees have been suspended pending the inquiry. "We are taking this matter very seriously and will ensure strict action," said a police official on condition of anonymity.
