A labourer suffered injuries on Monday evening when a boundary wall suddenly collapsed during foundation digging work. The incident occurred at a residential plot located in Mamura village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Phase-3 police station in Noida.
How the Incident Unfolded
Workers were actively engaged in digging the foundation for a new construction project. Without any warning, the boundary wall of an adjacent plot gave way completely. It came crashing down directly onto one of the labourers present at the site.
Identity of the Injured Worker
The injured man has been identified as Mehboob Akhtar. He is a resident of Mamura village itself. People working nearby witnessed the sudden collapse and immediately rushed to pull him from the debris.
Immediate Response and Medical Care
On-site workers provided first aid to Akhtar and promptly informed the local police about the emergency. He was then transported to a nearby hospital for proper medical treatment. Doctors at the hospital confirmed that Akhtar sustained only minor injuries in the accident.
His overall condition is now stable, and medical professionals have stated he is completely out of danger.
Police Action and Investigation
Officers from the Phase-3 police station arrived at the location soon after receiving the distress call. They secured the area to prevent any further accidents and ensured the situation was fully under control.
After a preliminary examination of the site, police officials indicated the probable cause of the collapse. It appears the foundation of the adjoining wall was structurally weak and could not withstand the vibrations from the ongoing digging activity.
Authorities have confirmed that no other individuals were hurt in this unfortunate event. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing to determine if any safety protocols were neglected.
