Hisar: The head of a gaushala in Haryana's Fatehabad district has been booked on charges of rape, criminal intimidation and blackmail following a complaint by a woman, police said on Thursday.
Police said the case was registered at the women's police station after the complainant approached Fatehabad SP Nikita Khattar. The accused, Leeladhar, is accused of sexually assaulting the woman and allegedly using objectionable photographs and videos to blackmail her.
The woman alleged that she had started working at the gaushala in Dec 2025 to support her family and the accused repeatedly tried to get close to her.
She alleged that in the first week of Jan, the accused mixed a sedative in her tea, after which she lost consciousness. On regaining consciousness, she allegedly found that objectionable photographs and videos had been made and was threatened with making them public.
The woman alleged that the accused later pressured her to establish relations with some of his friends. After she stopped going to work, certain photographs were allegedly uploaded on social media, she claimed.
Fatehabad police spokesperson ASI Vinod said a case had been registered and an investigation was underway.
