28-Year-Old Advertising Executive Dies by Suicide in Ghaziabad High-Rise

A tragic incident unfolded in Ghaziabad's Indirapuram area early Monday morning. A 28-year-old man allegedly died by suicide after jumping from the balcony of his eleventh-floor apartment.

Details of the Incident

Police identified the deceased as Yagya Pandey. He lived in the Jaipuria Sunrise Green Apartment society. The incident occurred around 2 am on Monday.

Abhishek Srivastava, the Assistant Commissioner of Police for Indirapuram, provided details. Police received information about the incident around 3.45 am from a hospital.

According to Srivastava, Pandey first slit his wrist with a knife. He then moved to the balcony of his flat and jumped from there.

A security guard spotted the body on the ground. The guard immediately informed Pandey's family members. The family rushed him to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Background and Investigation

Initial police investigation revealed important background information. Yagya Pandey worked as an associate creative director. He was employed at an advertising company in Gurgaon.

Police confirmed that Pandey had been suffering from depression for approximately two years. He was undergoing treatment at Fortis Hospital in Noida at the time of his death.

At the time of the incident, Pandey's parents were sleeping inside the apartment. They were unaware of his actions until alerted by the security guard.

Police have sent the body for autopsy. They are currently awaiting the official reports. Authorities have not recovered any suicide note from the scene.

As of now, police have not received any formal complaint regarding this matter. The investigation continues while officers await the autopsy results.
