A joyous wedding celebration in Mirthivalasa village, located in the Santhakaviti mandal of Vizianagaram district, was abruptly transformed into a scene of mourning on Friday. The festivities were halted after the bridegroom's elder brother, a 32-year-old software professional, succumbed to electrocution.

The deceased has been identified as Ponnada Satish. According to reports, the tragic incident occurred on Friday morning when Satish was drying clothes on the terrace of his house. He accidentally came into contact with an electric cable connected to the decorative lights that had been installed for his younger brother's wedding.
Family members and relatives discovered Satish lying unconscious on the terrace. They immediately rushed him to a hospital in Srikakulam town. However, doctors upon arrival declared him brought dead.

Satish was a software professional based in Hyderabad. He had been married to Mounika for approximately nine months. The couple had arrived in their hometown of Mirthivalasa around ten days prior to assist with the preparations for his younger brother Deepak Kumar's wedding, which had been scheduled for Friday night.
