Haryana History-Sheeter Allegedly Kills Wife in Jhajjar Village Shooting
A man with a significant criminal record, already facing three separate cases including one for murder, is accused of shooting his wife dead outside their residence in a village located within Haryana's Jhajjar district. The tragic incident occurred on Monday night, with police reporting that the assailant fired eight bullets at the victim.
Police Investigation Points to Domestic Dispute as Motive
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Anil Kumar stated that preliminary investigations strongly indicate the fatal confrontation was triggered by a domestic dispute. The accused, identified as Sanjay, allegedly fled the scene immediately after the shooting in Biradhana village. A forensic team was promptly dispatched to the crime scene to collect crucial evidence.
The victim has been named as Anjali. Police are meticulously scanning CCTV footage from surrounding areas to reconstruct the timeline of events and track Sanjay's movements both before and after the homicide.
Intensified Manhunt for Fugitive with Violent History
"Following Monday's incident, a fresh murder case has been registered against him," confirmed ACP Kumar. He emphasized that the investigation is being conducted from all possible angles, with no theories being ruled out at this early stage.
Given Sanjay's existing criminal profile—which includes a prior murder charge—police have deployed multiple specialized teams. These units, including Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) and special staff, are conducting raids at all suspected hideouts. However, the accused remains at large as of the latest reports.
