Jaipur Police Seizes 50 kg Explosives After Blast

Jaipur: In a significant crackdown following the recent Kho Nagoriyan explosion that claimed eight lives, Jaipur East Police on Friday seized more than 50 kg of explosive material from a house in Javed Nagar Colony. A criminal case has been registered against the property owners, who are currently absconding.

Intensified Search Operations

After the tragic incident, Jaipur Police intensified inspections, door-to-door surveys, and search operations across the area to identify similar stockpiles of hazardous materials.

Details of the Raid

Acting on the directives of senior police officers, including DCP Jaipur East Ranjita Sharma, a team led by Kho Nagoriyan SHO Prakash Ram conducted searches in Javed Nagar Colony. The explosive material was recovered from a house owned by Abdul Jabbar Ansari and Mohammad Firoz Ansari.

Officials stated that nearly 25 police personnel participated in the operation. This is part of an ongoing verification drive aimed at preventing a recurrence of the deadly explosion and curbing the illegal storage of firecrackers in residential areas.
