Jhajjar District Enhances Policing with New Police Station Inaugurations
In a significant move to bolster law enforcement at the grassroots level, the Jhajjar district has inaugurated modern buildings for the Dujana and Machhrauli police stations. This initiative aims to strengthen policing infrastructure, improve operational efficiency, and foster a more accessible and citizen-friendly environment for public safety.
Commissioner Rajshree Singh Leads Inauguration Ceremonies
Commissioner of Police Rajshree Singh presided over the inauguration events, highlighting the importance of these new facilities. The program commenced at the Dujana police station, where local residents and dignitaries warmly welcomed the commissioner. A tree plantation drive was also conducted, underscoring a commitment to environmental responsibility alongside community welfare.
The newly constructed Dujana police station, located on Beri Road, is set to serve 22 villages, providing enhanced services and support to the local population. Following this, CP Singh visited the Machhrauli police station, which will cover 23 villages and is expected to significantly improve policing outreach and reduce response times in the area.
Modern Amenities and Community Engagement Initiatives
After inaugurating the facilities, Commissioner Singh inspected both stations, directing officials to ensure transparent, efficient, and citizen-centric operations. The stations are equipped with improved amenities, including proper accommodation for staff and better arrangements for complainants, ensuring a more comfortable and accessible interface for the public.
Emphasizing the critical role of community participation, CP Singh urged villagers to actively cooperate with the police. "There are instances where crimes cannot be tackled by police alone. Effective action becomes possible only when the community extends support. Public cooperation is crucial for maintaining law and order," she stated.
Addressing Rising Crimes Involving Minors
Raising concerns over increasing crimes involving minors, Commissioner Singh announced plans for an awareness campaign after the ongoing examination period. She highlighted the growing misuse of mobile phones and social media platforms among children, noting that while parents often monitor WhatsApp usage, platforms like Instagram may remain unchecked.
"It is important for parents to stay vigilant about their children's online activities and guide them in the right direction," she added, stressing the need for proactive parental involvement in digital safety.
This development marks a pivotal step in enhancing policing capabilities in Jhajjar, with a focus on infrastructure, community collaboration, and addressing contemporary challenges in law enforcement.
