NIA Chargesheets Naxal Operative for Inciting Violence

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday filed a chargesheet against a key Naxal operative for allegedly inciting a gathering of approximately 200 individuals at the funeral meeting of slain CPI(Maoist) central committee member Katta Ramachandra Reddy in October 2025. The accused, Gade Innaiah, also known as Gade Inna, is accused of actively promoting the violent Left-wing extremism (LWE) ideology and urging the crowd to keep the 'revolution' alive.

Background of the Case

According to the NIA, Gade Innaiah was actively propagating Naxal ideology through Bharat Bachao, a frontal organization he co-founded. During the funeral meeting, he also criticized former CPI(Maoist) cadres who had surrendered their weapons to government agencies. The NIA investigation revealed that Gade had close associations with several senior cadres of CPI(Maoist) and frequently met them in the jungle areas of Chhattisgarh.

Charges Filed

The chargesheet was submitted before the NIA special court at Nampally, Hyderabad. Gade was charged under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023 and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) 1967. The chargesheet is based on technical and other evidence collected during the investigation of case RC 04/2025/NIA/HYD.

Arrest and Evidence

Gade was arrested in December 2025 after inputs indicated that he had made incriminating remarks at the funeral meeting of Katta Ramachandra Reddy, alias Vikalp, in October 2025. Reddy was killed along with another central committee member, Kadari Satyanarayana Reddy, alias Kosa, on September 22, 2025, in the Abujhmad region of Narayanpur district on the Chhattisgarh-Maharashtra border.

The NIA continues to investigate the case, and further details are expected to emerge as the legal proceedings progress.
