Police authorities were alerted on Thursday after the body of Manoj, also known as Lalu, a resident of Chatiya village in Hardoi district, Uttar Pradesh, was discovered in the village. DCP (central Noida) Shakti Mohan Avasthy stated that preliminary inquiries revealed the tragedy unfolded during a family gathering. An argument reportedly erupted between the victim, Manoj, and the accused, identified as Jagveer Bhati. According to police, Manoj allegedly abused Jagveer, prompting the latter to leave the venue in anger.
Later, Jagveer allegedly returned armed with a sickle and actively searched for Manoj. The two individuals reportedly engaged in a scuffle on a road leading into the village. During this confrontation, Jagveer is accused of attacking Manoj with the sickle, inflicting fatal injuries that led to his death. Police swiftly took Jagveer into custody following the incident.
