Bengaluru: Two workers, both aged 30, are feared to have drowned while cleaning a tank at the BWSSB water treatment plant in Belagere, Varthur, Thursday evening. The workers have been identified as Brijesh, a native of Bihar, and Akhilesh, from Tamil Nadu.
According to police, three workers were cleaning the tank when Brijesh and Akhilesh slipped and fell into it. The third worker was rescued safely. Personnel from the fire and emergency services department, along with Varthur police, are carrying out rescue operations.
