Woman Kills Husband After Harassment
In a tragic incident in Gudur, Mahabubabad district, a woman allegedly killed her husband on Wednesday night after he returned home drunk and assaulted her. The accused, identified as Vijaya, used a grinding stone to attack her husband B Lallu (38) while he was asleep.
Background of the Incident
According to Gudur sub-inspector B Giridhar Reddy, Lallu worked as a car driver and suspected his wife of having an extramarital affair. This suspicion led him to harass her daily. Unable to bear the constant abuse, Vijaya took the drastic step.
The incident occurred under Gudur police station limits. Neighbors noticed the body on Thursday morning and informed the police, who rushed to the spot and sent the body for postmortem.
A case has been registered, and investigations are ongoing. Police suspect that the woman was subjected to prolonged harassment by her husband, who was allegedly addicted to alcohol.
