Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh has demanded the dissolution of the Ram Mandir Trust, citing allegations of corruption and theft of donations. He stated that he submitted a complaint against Trust general secretary Champat Rai to the Ram Janmabhoomi police station in charge of Ayodhya, seeking an FIR.
Allegations of Donation Theft
“The entire country is shocked by this mega scam of donation theft. Revelations after revelations are coming out and the corruption is being exposed. The dacoity taking place in the offerings and donations received in the name of Lord Ram has the full protection of the BJP govt and their investigative agencies,” Singh said.
Criticism of BJP and Agencies
Singh criticized the Centre for misusing agencies like ED and CBI against the Opposition, while ignoring the theft of hundreds of crores from the Ram Temple’s donation box. He also lashed out at BJP for labeling critics as “anti-Ram.”
“When we raise questions, we are abused. When Akhilesh Yadav ji raises questions, indecent remarks are made on his family. However, are Vinay Katiyar, Sant Nitya Gopal Das’s successor Kamal Nayan Das, BJP leader Rajneesh Singh and Santosh Dubey associated with the temple movement also anti-Ram? Now even your own people are saying that massive corruption and theft has taken place,” Singh said.
Padyatra Announcement
Singh also announced the sixth phase of the party’s padyatra, scheduled from Azamgarh to Jaunpur between August 16 and August 23. The main issues to be raised include Lekhpal and police recruitment, unemployment, untouchability, discrimination, and concerns of backward classes and Dalits.
