Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has announced the construction of a new Karnataka Bhavan in Delhi, specifically aimed at supporting civil servant aspirants from the state. The proposed facility, to be called Karnataka Bhavan-4, will be developed by the Public Works Department at an estimated cost of Rs 80 crore.
Facility for Aspirants
The new bhavan is intended to provide accommodation and study facilities for students from Karnataka who are preparing for civil services examinations in the national capital. This initiative aims to ease the financial burden on aspirants and create a conducive environment for their preparation.
Project Details
CM Shivakumar stated that the project will be executed by the Public Works Department of Karnataka. The estimated cost of Rs 80 crore covers land acquisition and construction. The bhavan will include residential units, study halls, and other amenities.
This is the fourth such facility in Delhi, reflecting the state government's commitment to supporting its youth in pursuing prestigious careers in civil services. The announcement was made during a press conference in Delhi on June 20, 2026.
The move is expected to benefit hundreds of aspirants annually, providing them with affordable accommodation and a focused study environment in the competitive atmosphere of Delhi.
