Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday asserted that the outcome of the civic polls in the state is a clear endorsement of the Aam Aadmi Party government's development works. He stated that the results have effectively "swept out" the Congress, Shiromani Akali Dal, and the Bharatiya Janata Party from the local bodies.
People's Faith in AAP's Initiatives
Speaking to the media, Mann highlighted that the verdict reflects the unwavering faith of the people in the AAP government's public welfare initiatives. He specifically mentioned the provision of free electricity, quality education, better and free healthcare, employment generation, and several other measures that have directly benefited the citizens of Punjab.
Rejection of Traditional Parties
The Chief Minister emphasized that the voters have decisively rejected the traditional political parties, which he accused of failing to deliver on their promises. He noted that the Congress, Shiromani Akali Dal, and BJP have been consistently voted out in recent elections, and the civic polls further confirm this trend.
Development at the Core
Mann reiterated that the AAP government remains committed to its agenda of development and good governance. He assured that the administration will continue to work tirelessly to improve the lives of the people, focusing on transparent governance and efficient delivery of services.
The civic election results are seen as a significant boost for the AAP government, which came to power in Punjab in 2022 on a platform of change and accountability. The party's performance in the local body polls is expected to strengthen its position ahead of future electoral battles.
