SP MLA Booked for Controversial Remarks Against Kangana Ranaut

Prayagraj: Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA from Raniganj Assembly in Pratapgarh district, Dr RK Verma, has been booked under BNS Section 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and Section 67 of the IT Act for making controversial remarks against BJP MP Kangana Ranaut.

The FIR was lodged at the cybercrime police station of Pratapgarh based on the complaint of the district president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Anshuman Singh, on Wednesday.

In the FIR, Singh alleged that the SP MLA on Wednesday uploaded a controversial, vulgar and objectionable post against Kangana on his social media platform, violating the dignity of women. The post also created anger among the masses, particularly women.
