NEET-UG Re-examination Conducted Smoothly Under Tight Security
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)-UG re-examination was conducted peacefully across Karnal and Kaithal districts on June 21, 2026, with no incidents of malpractice reported. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the exam for undergraduate medical admissions under strict security arrangements, including multi-level verification of candidates.
Authorities in both districts implemented comprehensive measures to ensure a smooth and fair process. All candidates underwent a rigorous multi-level verification before entering examination halls, including checking admit cards and photographs, screening through metal detectors, and biometric verification. Only after completing all mandatory procedures were candidates allowed entry.
Karnal District Reports 89.95% Attendance
Karnal Deputy Commissioner Dr. Anand Kumar Sharma and Superintendent of Police Narender Bijarniya inspected examination centers at Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Railway Road, Government Senior Secondary School, Railway Road, and Government College, Karnal. No irregularities were found at any center.
Dr. Sharma reported that 89.95 per cent of registered candidates appeared for the examination. Arrangements were made for 2,708 candidates across eight examination centers in the district. Of these, 2,436 candidates appeared, while 272 remained absent. The officials reviewed control rooms, CCTV surveillance systems, security arrangements, jammers, and other facilities to ensure transparent conduct.
Kaithal District Ensures Fair Examination
Kaithal Deputy Commissioner Aparajita visited various examination centers to inspect arrangements and monitor the process. She informed that the examination was conducted at five centers across the district, with seating for 1,876 candidates. Of these, 1,713 candidates appeared, while 163 remained absent. Administrative officers continuously monitored the centers, ensuring adequate security, CCTV surveillance, jammers, and essential facilities.
“No reports of any irregularity or unfair means were received from any center during the examination,” she added, emphasizing the smooth conduct.
Strict Security and Surveillance Measures
The administrations deployed tight police security alongside technological measures such as biometric verification and jammers to prevent cheating. The multi-level verification process aimed to eliminate impersonation and other malpractices. Both districts reported zero incidents of malpractice, reflecting effective planning and execution.
The re-examination was necessitated by earlier irregularities in the main NEET-UG exam, prompting the NTA to conduct a fresh test for affected candidates. The peaceful conduct in Karnal and Kaithal underscores the commitment to maintaining integrity in medical admissions.
