Jaipur Man Stages Sit-in Protest Over Delayed Lease Deed at JDA Camp
Jaipur Man Protests at JDA Camp Over Delayed Lease Deed

A protest unfolded at the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA)'s Shahari Seva Shivir on Thursday when a frustrated resident from Sanganer staged a sit-in over a prolonged delay in receiving his lease deed. Shyam Sundar, who deposited the required amount two years ago, began his demonstration around 9 am at the civic service centre and remained there until 6 pm.

Protest Escalates

When his grievance was allegedly not addressed, Sundar lay down on the ground in protest. He was soon joined by several others facing similar issues. Sundar claimed that many applicants who deposited money one to two years ago are still waiting for their lease deeds, with nearly 100 such cases surfacing.

He alleged that residents have been made to run from pillar to post despite completing the required formalities. Sundar warned authorities that if his issue is not resolved during the camp, he will launch a larger protest along with other aggrieved people.

Unfulfilled Assurance

Sundar also stated that JDA Commissioner Siddharth Mahajan assured him he would visit the camp and hear his concerns, but claimed that no meeting took place until the end of the day. The protest drew attention from other visitors at the camp, with several people gathering at the site as the demonstration continued through the day.

This incident highlights the ongoing grievances of residents facing delays in lease deed issuance despite fulfilling all formalities.
