Jhajjar: In preparation for the upcoming Panchayat, Jhajjar Municipal Council, and Block Samiti member bypolls scheduled for May 10, the Jhajjar police administration has significantly strengthened security arrangements across the district. Under the direct guidance of Police Commissioner Rajshree Singh, security measures have been heightened at all polling stations, with particular emphasis on sensitive and hyper-sensitive booths. Officials have confirmed that strict vigilance will be maintained throughout the electoral process to prevent any untoward incidents.
Deployment of Personnel and Officers
As part of the comprehensive security deployment, two Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP)-rank officers and four Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP)-rank officers have been assigned election duties. Additionally, nearly 250 Haryana Police personnel have been mobilized to ensure a smooth and secure voting environment. Station House Officers (SHOs) and police post in-charges have been directed to remain on high alert and strictly adhere to the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India.
Enhanced Vigilance at Polling Stations
The police have identified specific polling stations as sensitive and hyper-sensitive based on past incidents and intelligence inputs. These locations will see additional forces and constant monitoring. Patrols have been increased in rural and urban areas alike, with quick response teams placed on standby. The administration has also coordinated with local authorities to ensure that all necessary security protocols are in place, including the installation of CCTV cameras at vulnerable points.
Residents have been urged to cooperate with law enforcement and report any suspicious activity. The police have set up a dedicated control room to handle election-related complaints and emergencies. With these measures, the Jhajjar police aim to conduct the bypolls in a free, fair, and peaceful manner.
