The youth wing of the AJSU Party officially launched a significant membership enrollment campaign within the limits of the Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) on Monday. This strategic move is aimed at strengthening the party's organizational framework in the state capital in preparation for the upcoming urban local body elections.
Campaign Kick-off from Ranchi University
The drive was formally inaugurated at the Ranchi University gate, marking the beginning of an extensive outreach effort. The party has set its sights on connecting with every household in the city to expand its support base.
Addressing the gathering at the launch event, Deosharan Bhagat, the chief spokesman of the AJSU Party, declared the party's ambitious plan. "Our party will reach every household of the city," he stated. He further revealed that similar membership campaigns are planned for other regions across the state in a phased manner.
Grassroots Focus Across All Wards
Praveen Prabahkar, the party's vice president, provided details about the campaign's scale. He confirmed that the membership drive will be conducted systematically in all 53 wards under the Ranchi Municipal Corporation.
Prabahkar also highlighted the active role of the party's youth and student wings in addressing public grievances. He cited an instance where the issue of delayed scholarship disbursements for students was forcefully raised by the party in the state assembly, showcasing their commitment to youth-centric issues.
Building a Stronger Mass Base
Echoing the sentiment of growth, Sanjay Mehta, the general secretary of the youth wing, expressed confidence in the party's expanding influence. He asserted that the mass base of the AJSU Party has already seen a considerable increase within the Ranchi municipal area, and this drive is expected to consolidate that growth further.
The launch of this membership drive signals the AJSU Party's focused efforts to mobilize young voters and build a robust ground-level network. With the urban local polls on the horizon, such activities are crucial for political parties to galvanize support and establish a strong presence in the civic body's electoral landscape.
