BJP Ministers and Allies Make Strong Appearance at Nishad Party Event in Lucknow

The Nishad Party held its annual Sankalp Diwas event in Lucknow on Tuesday. This gathering carried significant political weight. Senior BJP ministers and alliance partners attended the function. Their presence sent a clear message across Uttar Pradesh's political landscape.

A Strategic Gathering Ahead of Elections

Nishad Party chief and cabinet minister Sanjay Nishad organized this year's event. With state assembly elections just one year away, the timing was strategic. The party has organized Sankalp Diwas every year since 2013. Each event reiterates the demand for Scheduled Caste status for Nishad sub-castes in Uttar Pradesh.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju delivered a key assurance at the event. He stated that the BJP and Nishad Party operate as a family alliance. Rijiju emphasized that the BJP shares the same concerns as the Nishad Party regarding important issues. He further promised that all such matters would be resolved together with full support from the BJP's central leadership.

Show of Strength from the BJP Alliance

The event saw participation from several prominent figures. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak attended. OP Rajbhar, the chief of Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party and a cabinet minister, was also present. Office bearers from Apna Dal (S) joined the gathering. Both SBSP and Apna Dal (S) are crucial allies of the BJP in Uttar Pradesh.

This collective display served as a show of strength. It was particularly aimed at opposition parties like the Samajwadi Party. The Samajwadi Party has been actively trying to attract Nishad votes using its PDA (Pichhda, Dalit, Alpsankhyak) platform.

Direct Messages to Voters and Rivals

Keshav Prasad Maurya made a pointed statement during the event. He asserted that the BJP has not lost any elections in Uttar Pradesh since 2019. That was the year the Nishad Party formally joined the BJP alliance. This comment was widely interpreted as a direct message to Nishad voters. It highlighted their crucial role in securing electoral victories for the alliance.

OP Rajbhar emphasized the combined electoral power of Rajbhar and Nishad communities. He stated that no political party can form a government in Uttar Pradesh without the support of both the SBSP and the Nishad Party. This remark underscored the importance of these alliance partners in the state's political arithmetic.

The event successfully communicated multiple political signals. To Nishad voters, it demonstrated their political significance and their valued position within the BJP-led alliance. To opposition parties, it delivered a clear warning. The message was straightforward: the BJP alliance is firmly holding onto its Nishad support base and is not letting it drift away.
