Mahoba Man Allegedly Kills Wife with Stone, Flees Scene
In a shocking incident in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh, a man is accused of brutally murdering his wife by crushing her with a stone on Tuesday. The police reported that the accused, identified as Ram Singh, left the body of his wife, Pawan (36), inside their home in LodhiKheda of Bhandra village and fled the scene. The body was discovered by authorities and has been taken into custody for a postmortem examination.
Police Investigation and Family Accounts
Upon receiving information about the crime, Circle Officer Deepak Dubey arrived at the location with a police team to inspect the scene. Preliminary investigations have revealed that Ram Singh was addicted to alcohol and frequently assaulted his wife while under the influence. The deceased's cousin, Rajendra, provided a harrowing account, stating that Pawan had endured prolonged torture from her husband and mother-in-law.
Rajendra further disclosed that Pawan had sought refuge at her maternal home in Uparetha village of Hamirpur, along with her three children: Pari (9), Aayush (4), and Peeyush (11). She was brought back by the accused only about a month prior to the incident. Other family members have expressed outrage over Ram Singh's behavior. His brother, Raju, mentioned that he had moved out to live separately with his own family, unable to tolerate Ram Singh's abusive language.
Legal Actions and Ongoing Manhunt
Based on a written complaint filed by Pawan's father, the police have registered a case under relevant legal sections. Circle Officer Deepak Dubey confirmed that raids are actively being conducted to apprehend the absconding accused. "He will be apprehended soon," the CO assured, emphasizing the urgency of the manhunt. The police have initiated a thorough search operation, and the investigation continues to uncover further details surrounding this tragic domestic violence case.
