The incident revolves around a female BSc student who died by suicide on December 30. Before taking the extreme step, she consumed poison. The case took a poignant turn as it was revealed that the student recorded a video message just before her death.
In this final message, sent directly to the accused via WhatsApp, she stated, ‘You wanted me to die; now your wish will be fulfilled. Now be happy, you are free. You troubled me a lot.' This digital evidence became a crucial part of the investigation, highlighting the alleged mental torment she endured.
Police Action and Arrest
The wheels of justice were set in motion when the grieving father of the student filed a formal complaint. Based on his account, the Mahoba police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the accused individual. The charges were severe: abetment of suicide.
