Deadly Altercation Erupts at Ghaziabad Dhaba Over Delayed Food Service
A seemingly trivial disagreement over a delay in serving food turned fatal at a popular roadside eatery in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, late Friday evening. The violent confrontation resulted in two young men being stabbed to death and another sustaining serious injuries, according to local police authorities.
Violent Escalation at Vaishno Dhaba
The tragic incident unfolded around 10 pm at Vaishno Dhaba located in the Khoda area of Ghaziabad. Police reports indicate that three friends became embroiled in a heated argument with the dhaba owner and his staff members regarding a significant delay in their food order. What began as a verbal dispute rapidly escalated into a physical confrontation involving sharp-edged weapons, including kitchen knives readily available at the establishment.
Victims and Immediate Aftermath
The deceased have been identified as Shri Pal (25) and Satyam Kumar (26), both residents of Nehru Vihar in Khoda. Their companion, Anurag Kumar, suffered critical injuries during the altercation but is currently reported to be out of danger. Alert locals present at the scene promptly notified law enforcement, who arrived swiftly and transported all three injured individuals to a nearby medical facility for emergency treatment.
Dasarath Nimish Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Trans Hindon), confirmed the tragic outcome, stating, "During treatment, two of the injured succumbed to their injuries, while the third person is currently out of danger."
Sequence of Events Leading to Tragedy
According to preliminary police investigations, the sequence of events that culminated in violence began when the three friends requested that their food order be delivered to an e-rickshaw where they were seated. The situation deteriorated when the order experienced considerable delays, sparking frustration among the customers. The argument intensified, allegedly culminating in the friends physically assaulting Suraj, the dhaba owner, by slapping him. This act prompted immediate intervention from other staff members, rapidly transforming the disagreement into a full-scale physical brawl.
Police Action and Investigation
Law enforcement officials have registered a murder case against four individuals in connection with the deadly incident. The accused include dhaba owner Suraj, his associates Rajan and Vishesh, along with a dhaba worker identified as Rajesh. The investigation is actively progressing, with authorities examining closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage from surrounding areas to identify all persons involved in the violent episode.
Police officials have stated that several suspects have already been identified based on the video evidence and are currently being questioned as part of the ongoing inquiry. The case highlights the potentially devastating consequences when minor disputes escalate uncontrollably, resulting in irreversible loss of life and severe legal repercussions for all parties involved.
